A man has been arrested after he was assaulted and taken to hospital in Glasgow.
The 30-year-old was attacked on Great Western Road in Glasgow at around 1.05pm on Thursday.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with “serious” injuries.
Police said the man was later released, but then arrested and charged in connection with an unrelated incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.05pm on Thursday, May 12, police were called to a report of a man having been assaulted on Great Western Road in Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
“He was later released and arrested and charged in connection with an unrelated matter.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1557 of May 12.”
