A man who was reportedly armed with a machete ran off from police called to Glasgow’s Easterhouse.
Attending to the incident on Easterhouse Road at 9.40am on Thursday, officers pursued the man on foot before apprehending him.
The 33-year-old was arrested and charged in relation to the incident. He was due to attend Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 9.40am on Thursday, July 1, officers were called to a report of a man carrying a weapon on Easterhouse Road, Glasgow.
“A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
“He was due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, July 2. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
