Police ScotlandA man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 36-year-old in Largs.
Alan Lawson, from Saltcoats, died in hospital on February 6 following an assault at a property on Alexander Avenue in Largs.
Following the 36-year-old’s post mortem, a murder investigation was launched.
Detectives launched an online portal where information, pictures and videos could be sent directly to the team.
It came after “content reportedly connected to the investigation” was shared on social media.
On Tuesday, Jordan Honeyman appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court charged with the murder of Mr Lawson and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The 29-year-old made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear again in court within the next eight days.
