A suspect has appeared in court accused of murdering a man on Christmas Day.

Felix Thrust, 36, allegedly assaulted Dean Kennedy, 38, in Glasgow’s West End on December 25, 2025.

Court papers state Thrust engaged in a fight with Mr Kennedy then repeatedly punched and kicked him to the head and body.

It is alleged Thrust went on to repeatedly stab him on the head and body with a knife.

This is stated to have been to Mr Kennedy’s severe injury, danger of life and murder.

Thrust faces a second charge of assaulting three unknown men to their severe injury between December 25 and December 26.

Thrust is claimed to have struck them on the head and body with a knife at locations in Glasgow unknown to the prosecutor.

Thrust made no plea at a private hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court and was represented by his lawyer Greg Cunningham.

He was remanded in custody and pending further examination by Sheriff David Taylor.

Thrust, who has no fixed abode, will appear at court again within the next eight days.

It was earlier reported that Mr Kennedy was found injured on Napiershall Street around 11.40pm.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by medics before he was pronounced dead.

A tribute from friends after his death said: “Rest easy my good friend taken from our streets but not our hearts. Gutted.”
