A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a female police officer was struck by a vehicle in West Dunbartonshire.
The incident occurred after officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Bannerman Place, Clydebank, at around 9pm on January 5.
A female police officer was struck by the vehicle as it fled the scene. She was transported to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
The 27-year-old male driver of the vehicle was traced, arrested and charged.
Aaron Swanson made no plea during his appearance at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday.
The 27-year-old appeared charged with attempted murder, assault to danger of life and multiple road traffic offences.
Swanson was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear again within eight days.
