A man has appeared in court charged with threatening and abusive behaviour after he was arrested in connection with allegedly hate-related graffiti in Glasgow.

Police received a report of graffiti on Carmunnock Road in Castlemilk at around 10.55pm on Wednesday evening.

Anthony Lamount appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner with the intent of causing fear or alarm.

The 62-year-old made no plea and was granted bail.

Lamount’s next court appearance is to be confirmed.
