A man has appeared in court following an assault and robbery at a shop in South Lanarkshire.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the shop on Glebe Place, Cambuslang at around 5.10pm on Monday.
Emergency services attended, and police closed surrounding roads while urging people to avoid the area.
The roads were reopened four hours later.
A 46-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Alexander Boyd was charged with two counts of assault and robbery and one of malicious mischief.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He will next appear in court within the next eight days.
