A man and woman have been charged in connection with a serious assault after armed police were called to a flat.
Emergency services were called to the property on Carntyne Road, Glasgow, following reports of concern for a person and serious assault on Saturday.
Firearms officers were also sent to the scene and a 34-year-old man was taken to hospital.
A 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman have been arrested and charged following a report of concern for a person and a man seriously assaulted within a flat on Carntyne Road, Glasgow on the afternoon of Saturday, February 15, 2025.
“Officers attended and the 34-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
“The 57-year-old man and the 39-year-old woman are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 17 February, 2025.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
