Two people have been charged with attempted murder after a man was allegedly attacked in Glasgow.
A 37-year-old was taken to hospital following an incident on Middleton Street in Cessnock at around 3pm on Wednesday.
Police attended and a 44-year-old man and 43-year-old woman were both arrested in connection with the murder bid.
The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the incident.
He said: “We can confirm that a 43-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 37-year-old man in the Middleton Street area of Glasgow.
“The pair are expected to appear in court on Thursday.”
