A man and his daughter were punched outside a pub following a street spat.
The 48-year-old man suffered an injury to his nose, while his 27-year-old daughter had to receive hospital treatment for a serious facial injury.
The attack happened in West Dunbartonshire at around 12.50am on Sunday in Stewart Street, Clydebank.
It began with a verbal argument and ended with a man punching the father once and daughter twice.
The suspect then ran off in the direction of Dalmuir railway station.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to “establish the circumstances leading up to the assault”.
Detective constable Iain Allison appealed: “There would have been a number of people in the area around the time of the incident and we are keen to talk to anyone who might have seen anything.”
