A man has been airlifted to hospital after being found with stab wounds on a street in Ayr.
Emergency services received a report of an injured man in the Braeside Road area of the town at around 10am on Tuesday.
He was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow in an air ambulance.
His current condition is unknown at this time as enquiries continue.
Chief inspector Stuart Dougan said: “Around 10am on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, we were called to a report of a man found injured in the Braeside Road area of Ayr.
“He has been taken to hospital for treatment. Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10am to attend an incident on Braeside Road, Ayr.
“An ambulance and an air ambulance with a trauma team were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
