A man has been charged with possessing a blade after armed police swooped on a North Lanarkshire town.
Officers were called to McClurg Court in Motherwell shorty after 6pm on Friday night.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged.
Another man was injured during the same incident, however police found no criminality surrounding his injury.
A force spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the possession of an offensive weapon at McClurg Court, Motherwell, around 6.10pm on Friday, May 8.
“Another man was injured during the incident but there has been found to be no criminality surrounding this.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
