Police are appealing for information after a 76-year-old man was struck by an electric motorbike being driven by two youths on Monday in a hit and run incident.

At around 4.30pm on June 17, emergency services were called to Glenkirk Drive in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow after the man was struck by a small electric motorbike which was being ridden by two male youths wearing balaclavas

The man was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

Police are now appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage which they said could be “crucial” to the investigation into the incident.

Constable John O’Hara from Road Policing said: “This reckless incident took place in broad daylight in a residential area and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

“We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area as this could be crucial to our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2426 of Monday, June 17, 2024.”
