A man has been charged after a police chase in Glasgow’s east end on Tuesday.

The car failed to stop for officers on Abbeycraig Road at around 6pm and a short pursuit broke out.

The vehicle stopped on Westerhouse Road and both the driver and passenger left the vehicle.

The 32-year-old male driver was charged in connection with road traffic offences.

A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, a car in Abbeycraig Road, Glasgow, failed to stop for officers.

“Following a short pursuit, the car stopped in Westerhouse Road.

“The driver and passenger left the vehicle and were apprehended. The 32-year-old male driver was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

“A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.”
