A man has been taken to hospital following a serious assault in West Dunbartonshire.
The 26-year-old was reportedly assaulted at around 8.20pm in Montrose Street, Clydebank on Saturday, May 16.
Emergency services attended and he was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Officers are checking relevant CCTV footage for any information on the incident.
Enquiries so far have established a grey coloured Skoda car was seen in the area around the time of the incident.
Detective Constable Jack Muir said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the Montrose Street area around the time of the incident to get in touch. If anyone has dash cam or doorbell recording equipment, please check the footage as it could assist our enquiries as we try to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
