A man has died after being seriously injured in a disturbance involving several men in Glasgow city centre.
Police were called to Royal Exchange Square, near the Duke of Wellington statue, around 3.05am on Sunday, following reports of the incident.
A 21-year-old man was found seriously injured and taken to hospital, where he died on Monday.
Police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the death.
A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the disturbance and released pending further enquiries.
Another man, aged 21, was also assaulted and sustained minor injuries. Police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old man in connection with this incident.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Inspector Jonny MacKinnon said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died.
STV News“No one has been arrested in connection with the death of the man at this time, and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone with information who has not already spoken to officers is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 0494 of Sunday, October 4, 2026.”
