A major road has been closed by police following the sudden death of a man in East Ayrshire.
Officers have shut the A77 southbound at the Bellfield Interchange in Kilmarnock.
Emergency services were alerted to the 39-year-old man’s death at around 5.30am on Monday.
There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called around 5.30am on Monday, June 8, following the sudden death of a 39-year-old man at the Bellfield Interchange, Kilmarnock.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The A77 road is currently closed southbound.”
