M8 drivers warned of 'lengthy delays' after roadworks overrun

Drivers have been warned of lengthy delays on the M8 due to roadworks.

Overnight works on the motorway eastbound between junctions 18 and 15 are running over, keeping the road closed to rush-hour traffic.

Traffic Scotland has warned that there is no access to the carriageway from Junction 16 Craighall, Junction 18 Charing Cross and Junction 19 Anderston.

“Lengthy delays are to be expected”, a spokesperson said.

An update as of 8.35am said traffic is currently backed up from M77 Junction 4 and M8 Junction 28.
