A section of the M8 motorway near to Glasgow Airport has been closed due to concern for a person on the road.
Police were called to the motorway at the White Cart Viaduct around 12.45pm on Wednesday.
The westbound carriageway of the road, close to the airport junction, has been closed as a result.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
Traffic Scotland posted to their feed at 1pm: “Road CLOSED due to an on-going police incident.
“Road users are advised to find alternative routes at this time.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 12.45pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, officers were called to a report of concern for a person on the the M8 at the White Cart Viaduct.
“The westbound carriageway is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area and check for an alternative route.”
