A former betting shop is to be turned into hot chicken takeaway Lucky B’s after plans were approved on Tuesday.
The Nashville style chicken eatery will open at 2pm Hillington Road South in the Cardonald area.
Lucky B’s Hot Chicken already has a base on Fenwick Road in Giffnock and now has the go-ahead to open a second location in the former Paddy Power premises.
Its menu includes chicken wings, chicken tenders, burgers and loaded fries.
A planning application from Pollo Hub PRW said the food outlet is to have a sit in area for up to 20 people.
Lucky B’s Hot Chicken was created by best friends Giancarlo Celino and Toni Dobrenko after they spotted a gap in the market “for one of America’s most popular fast food concepts” according to the website.
It states: “The chicken is marinated in buttermilk and other secret ingredients for 24 hours; coated in their own house dredge and fried until crispy and golden then finished with Nashville inspired spices.”
The team announced the plan to expand to Hillington Road South last year.
Now planning permission has been granted for use of the vacant betting shop as a restaurant and hot food takeaway as well as the installation of an extract flue and formation of a door at the rear of the property.
