A lorry fire has led to the closure of the M8 motorway eastbound in Glasgow.
Emergency services are in attendance after the vehicle went on fire at junction 22, near to the beginning of the M74 motorway southbound.
The M8 is closed from junction 24 to junction 23 eastbound.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Thursday, 7 October, police were called to assist SFRS (Scottish Fire and Rescue Service) following a report of a lorry fire on the M8 eastbound near J23.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and traffic management is ongoing.”
