A woman drove away from a school while four times over the limit.
Linda Osborne, 48, was later caught nearby by police in Glasgow’s east end on March 17, 2022.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Osborne was at a meeting with the high school’s campus officer.
The officer noted that Osborne was under the influence of alcohol.
Osborne went on to enter her Vauxhall Viva which still had the engine running.
The officer contacted the police.
Prosecutor Siobhan Currie said: “When the police attended, she was on her phone.
“She then drove and attempted to manoeuvre her vehicle out the parking space.”
Police activated their blue lights and stopped the vehicle.
Officers detected a smell of alcohol and noted that Osborne had bloodshot eyes.
She was arrested having failed a roadside breath test.
Osborne then went on to do a blood test at a police station and was found to have 211 milligrams of alcohol in her blood when the legal limit is 50 milligrams.
Osborne, of the city’s Barrachnie, pled guilty to a single charge of drink driving.
The Crown accepted a not guilty plea to a charge of exposing a 14-year-old boy to unnecessary suffering or ill health by driving under the influence with him in the vehicle.
Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month.
Osborne has been disqualified from driving in the meantime.
