Two lanes on the M8 heading westbound have been closed to allow for emergency repairs after debris was spotted on the motorway.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that there had been reports of debris between junction 13 and 14 at around 3.37pm on Tuesday, September 24. Road users were being urged to remain cautious.
The lanes were shut at 3.45pm to allow for repairs to take place.
Drivers have been told to expect delays if using the carriageway as urgent work is carried out.
A Traffic Scotland post on X read: “Lanes 1 & 2 are currently shut to allow emergency repairs, drivers are advised to expect delays.”
