An animal charity has launched a fundraiser to help a kitten that was found “hanging” under a car with a broken leg.
Protect Cats Scotland said the kitten, believed to be between six to eight weeks old, was handed into Vets4pets Airdrie on Friday morning.
The kitten was found hanging under a Mercedes car at a nearby petrol station.

The charity confirmed the youngster’s leg was completely broken, and the vet had no choice but to amputate it.
Protect Cats Scotland named the kitten Mercedes and is now looking to raise £1,000 to give her the “best chance of life”.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We need to raise £1,000 for her operation to give this wee girl the best chance of life!
“Anything you can donate would be so appreciated.”
