Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a shop which left staff “shaken”.

At around 5.15pm on Wednesday, July 12, a man entered a premises on Dean Street in Kilmarnock and made off with a three-figure sum of cash.

He was then seen making off in the direction of Orchard Street, William Street and Witch Road.

Staff were uninjured but shaken by the incident, police said.

Detectives are now searching for the suspect who is described as being around 5ft 10in tall and of a slim build. 

At the time he was wearing a black jacket, light grey jogging bottoms, and black trainers.

Detective constable Craig Ryan said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or who may have potential CCTV or dashcam footage from nearby to please come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2837 of July 12.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
