Rape campaigner and survivor Ellie Wilson has been charged in connection with domestic abuse-related offences.
The campaigner for survivors of male sexual violence has been released on an undertaking following her arrest.
She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in the coming months.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with domestic abuse related offences. She has been released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on April 23, 2026.”
Wilson became known as a campaigner after she waived her right to anonymity as a victim of sexual violence. Her ex-boyfriend Daniel McFarlane was convicted of raping her.
In 2022, McFarlane received two convictions for rape and one for attempting to defeat the ends of justice and was jailed for five years.
She successfully campaigned for a new policy at Scottish universities requiring students offered places to declare certain criminal convictions and charges.
