Janey GodleyAshley Storrie has shared the emotional moment she told her mum, Janey Godley, that she had been nominated for a Bafta Scotland award.
Comedy series Dinosaur, which stars Ashley Storrie, received the most nominations of the year, including best television actress for Storrie and best scripted television show.
Storrie took to social media on Wednesday, telling followers that her mum was the first person she spoke to after hearing the news.
Posting a screengrab of the call, Storrie said: “She’s probably going to kill me for how unflattering this is, but I managed to take a screenshot of the moment I told mum I’d been nominated for a Bafta Scotland award.”
Godley also shared the news, adding: “Proud of my lassie.”
The comedian is currently receiving end-of-life care after her cancer spread.
She shared the “devastating news” last week, adding that her “chemo ran out of options” and she couldn’t take anymore.
In a video from hospital, Godley thanked the NHS, Marie Curie as well as medical staff who have helped her so far.
“It is devastating news, to know that I’m facing end of life but we all come to an end some time,” she said.
The comedian also thanked fans for the “amazing” support of her family before stating she did not know how long she had left.
The Bafta Scotland winners will be revealed at a star-studded ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday, November 17, hosted by Edith Bowman and livestreamed on BAFTA’s YouTube.
