A man is accused of assaulting three police officers amid the Rangers fans title party in Glasgow city centre.
Jamie Young, 20, allegedly attacked the officers on Queen Street on May 15, 2021.
Hundreds of jubilant fans gathered in George Square and the surrounding area to celebrate the club winning the Scottish Premiership title that day.
Court papers state Young culpably and recklessly threw a glass bottle at officers forming a police cordon and an object at members of the public.
It is stated he went on to behave in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting and swearing as well as punching and kicking police shields before gesturing in an aggressive manner.
The charges state Young repeatedly kicked a shield held by a police sergeant.
Young is also claimed to have punched and kicked the shield of a constable and attempted to seize hold of it.
Young is lastly said to have repeatedly punched and kicked another constable’s shield and attempted to grab it.
On Friday, Young pled not guilty to the five charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
A continued hearing was fixed for next month.
Young, of Glasgow’s Cardonald, remains on bail in the meantime.
