A dog owner snapped this picture of her pet – as a herd of curious cows peered at it over a hedge in the background.
Anna Duff, 40, was hanging out the washing at her mum and dad’s farm in Carluke, South Lanarkshire, when she turned around and saw the cows glaring at dog Maya.
She quickly snapped a picture of Newfoundland Maya, aged six, with the seven curious onlookers as they stared at the pooch over the hedge.
Anna caught the snap last Friday, and said she thinks the cows might have thought Maya was one of them.
Anna, who has five Newfoundlands, said: “I was hanging out some washing when I just turned around and saw all the cows looking over the hedge at Maya.
“It was just one of those opportunistic moments.
“I think the cows thought Maya was one of them, she is a big dog.
“They are my mum and dad’s cows so it looked like I had them all under control anyway.
“Sometimes they have a look at the dogs over the hedge, but that’s the first time I have seen all from the one field looking over.
“I posted it on Facebook for a bit of fun and it’s been getting a great reaction from people.”
