Works are under way as Glasgow prepares to transform into Gotham City ahead of filming for the new Batman movie.
Dozens of road closures and restrictions will be in place across the city over two months, with production crews arriving from August 18.
STV News understands that up to four other film productions are shooting in Glasgow city centre this summer, resulting in further disruption.
Glasgow has been used multiple times as the fictional Gotham City, including in The Batman (2022) and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
Works have been ongoing since last week on art installations under the Kingston Bridge at the Newton Street car park.
Images from the area show a car with a filming sign reading “Semper Vigilans”, rumoured to be the working title for the new Batman movie.
The restrictions at the car park will remain in place until September 29, with nearby Newton Street, between the A814 Expressway and Broomielaw, shut from August 29 until September 9.
The upcoming sequel directed by Matt Reeves will star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
New additions to the cast include Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Jayme Lawson and Charles Dance.
The Batman: Part II is scheduled for release in cinemas on February 18, 2028.

From 6am until 6am on August 30, and then from 7pm until 6am September 1, 2, 3, 4

From 6am on August 15 until 11pm on August 16, and from 6am on September 12 until 11pm on September 13
