An investigation has been launched following a “suspicious” van fire in Glasgow during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to Bardowie Street after reports of a vehicle blaze at around 2.45am.

The fire is being treated as suspicious but detectives are not linking the incident to any other crimes.

An investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.45am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, we received a report of a van fire at Bardowie Street, Glasgow.

“The fire is being treated as suspicious.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who knows who is responsible should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0292 of Wednesday, April 30.”
