iStockAn investigation has been launched after videos and images involving an indecent act with a dog were circulated online.
Police Scotland said it received reports of concern following content shared on social media.
It is understood the alleged incident took place in the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire and was reported on December 4.
Officers said enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Kat Thomson said: “We have received reports of concerns following videos and images circulating online of an indecent act involving a dog.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
