An investigation has been launched after a van was deliberately torched outside a West Dunbartonshire home on Wednesday.

Emergency services were alerted to the vehicle fire outside a property on Angus Street in Clydebank at around  12.35am.

 The blaze was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

There were no reports of any injuries, but a number of cars were also damaged as a result.

Investigators are treating the fire as wilful.

Detective Constable Iain McGill said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who has any information to contact us.


“I would ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam footage or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
