An investigation has been launched after a spate of house break-ins across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

Officers received reports of the break-ins that happened on Friday between between 7pm and 10.30pm.

The incidents happened at properties on Florence Drive in Kilmacolm, Warlock Road in Bridge of Weir, and Cowan Avenue in Linwood, Paisley.

Police Scotland said enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and establish whether the incidents are linked.

The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Richard Grant, of Paisley CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether these incidents are linked and trace those responsible.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of the break-ins to get in touch.

“We would also urge anyone in the surrounding areas with dash-cam or private CCTV footage to check it in case you have captured anything that could assist us with our enquiries.”
