Police are investigating after humans remains, including a leg, were found on a beach in South Ayrshire.
Officers were called to Prestwick Beach at around 10.45am on Tuesday, June 10 where human remains had been discovered.
It is understood a leg, which still had a sock and a shoe, was discovered.
Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.45am on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, we received a report that human remains had been discovered on Prestwick Beach.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
