A Glasgow nursery has launched an internal investigation after staff allegedly left a child unattended in a garden for a prolonged period of time.
Staff at St Roch’s Childcare Service took the children, aged between two and five, outside to play in a garden detached from the building on May 15.
The employees and youngsters returned to the nursery building but staff were later alerted to a child being left behind, according to a concerned parent.
St Roch’s Childcare Service has confirmed an internal investigation is being conducted following the incident.
A St Roch’s Childcare Service spokesperson said: “The safety and wellbeing of our children is our highest priority, and we take this matter very seriously.
