An investigation has been launched after a flat was “deliberately” set on fire in Hamilton.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a block of flats in Strathaven Road at around 11.15am on Monday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire and there were no reports of anyone injured.
Police Scotland said the fire is being treated as “wilful”.
Enquiries into the blaze are ongoing.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the fire to come forward.
Constable Charles Johnston at Hamilton police office said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and the fire is being treated as wilful.
“Anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101 quoting incident number 0959 of 7 April 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
