Police are looking to trace two men following an assault that left another man injured in Glasgow.

The incident took place on Springfield Road near Tollcross Road in the Parkhead area of the city at around 8.20pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended and the 32-year-old victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for information as they look to establish the full circumstances.

They are keen to speak to two men who were in the area at the time.

Both have been described as speaking with foreign accents and one was wearing a navy jacket with the hood up.

Constable Ross Gallacher said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for any members of the public with information to come forward.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone in the area with private CCTV or dash-cam footage who may have captured something of significance that could help with our investigation.”
