An immersive experience celebrating the life and works of Vincent Van Gogh has opened in Glasgow.
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will be staged at the Scottish Events Campus (SEC) until Sunday, August 4.
The show has been described as a journey through Van Gogh’s paintings, letters and life.
More than 300 of the Dutch post-Impressionist’s paintings will be showcased alongside a musical soundtrack taking guests on the story of the artist through three-dimensional, immersive scenes.
The experience runs from 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday and Sunday, with extra hours of 9am to 8pm on Saturday, including special yoga sessions.
Off-peak tickets for adults (+13) cost £25.00, £15.90 for children aged between four and 12 and kids under three go free.
Dan Thurlow, director of exhibition sales at the Scottish Event Campus, said: “It is a truly unique immersive experience, we’re truly excited about it on a number of levels. It’s the first time that this experience has been in Scotland, so we are delighted they have chosen Glasgow.”
Anna Parry, head of UK business development for Annerin Productions, added: “The way that it’s set up with the soundtrack and the projection is to really immerse yourself in who Van Gogh is – you come into the main immersive space, which is a 10,000 square foot space where over 300 pieces of his artwork have been meticulously curated.
“The biggest feedback we get is people aren’t expecting how emotionally charged they feel after.”
