A Scottish influencer who documented her cancer journey online has announced she is receiving end-of-life care.

Danielle Quinn, from Glasgow, was initially told she had IBS before being diagnosed with Stage 3 low-grade serous carcinoma in December 2022.

After an extensive seven-hour operation, the 41-year-old had ten organs removed after cancer cells were found across her abdomen.

She opted for hormone therapy over chemotherapy initially, but her cancer returned in October 2024.

In an update on Tuesday, the content creator revealed that she has entered hospice care after doctors told her there was nothing more they could do.

She said she “fought as hard as she could” in an emotional message to her followers.

“I made the decision to be in Hospice from Tuesday, September 29. My body needs support, as I also made the life decision to stop TPN, the support that keeps your body functioning.

“We do not know how long I have left, but each day is a gift.

“DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! You know your body better than anyone! If you are in constant pain, constantly justifying that bad period, that bloat, that cramp, that swelling… keep pushing for answers.

“Of course, my absolute hope is that there is nothing wrong. But please, please get checked. And if you still feel like something isn’t right, go back. Ask again. Push again. Be a pain in the arse if you have to.

“I wish I could go back and tell the younger me just how important it is to listen to your body. We are so good at putting things down to stress, periods, hormones, getting older or just “one of those things” – especially as women.

“I can’t change what has happened to me, but if sharing my story makes even ONE person book that appointment, ask another question or push for another opinion, then it is worth me putting it out there.

“Please don’t wait until something becomes unbearable before you think it’s worthy of being checked. You do not need to justify being worried about your own body.

“If something doesn’t feel right — keep pushing. You know your body better than anyone.”
