iStockOfficers are hunting for two suspects dressed in black after a man was attacked in Livingston on Sunday.
A 58-year-old man was approached and attacked by two young men while walking on a path at Dunlin Brae towards Mallard Brae at around 10.45pm.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
The two suspects are described as around 5ft 7in and of slim build. They were wearing black clothing.
Detective Constable Matt Morran said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the two men responsible for this attack.
“If anyone was in the area on Sunday evening and witnessed anything suspicious or has any information that may assist police enquiries, please contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting incident number 3675 of May 24.
“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
