Police are hunting for two suspects who made off from the scene on foot.

A hunt has been launched for two suspects after a vehicle was deliberately set on fire in North Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze on Ravenscliff Road in Motherwell around 1.35am on Tuesday.

Police are looking to trace two male suspects who were seen wearing blue joggers and black trainers.

One wore a black hooded jumper and the other wore a white hooded jumper.

Both made off along Ravencliff Road towards the junction with Roedeer Drive on foot.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Detective constable Verity Gregg said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0181 of Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
