Police are hunting for two suspects after the serious assault of a man in Hamilton.
Emergency services were called around 10am on Thursday to the incident near the Burnbank Centre.
A 48-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The first male suspect is described as white, around 5’6” tall, of slim build, with short, black hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers.
The second suspect is described as male, white, around 5’8” tall, of medium build, with short hair. He was wearing dark blue/black hoodie and blue jeans.
Detective Constable Muhammad Yasar said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 0896 of Thursday, April 16, 2026.
“Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
