A hunt has been launched for two men who acted in a “threatening manner with weapons” from a van in Cambuslang.

Officers received reports of a disturbance on August 24, between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on Greenlees Road.

Police said the suspects were seen in a white Ford van acting in a threatening manner with weapons towards another driver.

The force added that while there were no reports of injuries but damage was caused to a vehicle in the “frightening” incident.

Officers are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.

Constable Alan Smith, Rutherglen Police Office, said: “This was a frightening incident for those involved and it’s vital we trace the people responsible.

“I’d urge anyone with information or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything which may help our investigation, to come forward.

“Anyone with dashcam footage of the area is also asked to please review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 2138 of August 24. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
