Police are hunting two men who set five cars on fire in a “targeted attack” in Glasgow.

The vehicles were set alight shortly before 2.35am on Tuesday on Herriet Street and Maxwell Road in Pollokshields.

Two men were seen at the cars; one was wearing dark-coloured clothing and the other was in a light hooded top and dark trousers.

Investigators are working to identify them and have appealed to the public for help.

Detective constable Heather Ferry said: “We believe this was a targeted attack by these two men and I would urge anyone who was in the area early on Tuesday morning, who seen them acting suspiciously, or who has any information or footage regarding this crime to contact us.”
