Police are hunting two masked men after staff were threatened and a charity tin was stolen in a shop robbery in Greenock.
Officers were alerted to the incident at the store in the East Crawford Street area at around 9.55am on Monday.
Two men entered the shop and threatened staff before making off with a three-figure sum of cash, alcohol and a charity tin.
Police are looking to trace the two suspects, who were both described as wearing black balaclavas.
The first suspect is described as 5ft 8in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark green hooded top, black jogging trousers, black trainers and black gloves.
The force added that the man was also carrying a black Adidas rucksack.
The second suspect is described as 6ft and of medium build.
He was wearing a dark-coloured padded jacket, jogging trousers, and black gloves.
They made off in the direction of Border Street.
Police said no one was injured in the incident, but staff were left “shaken and very upset” as a result of the robbery.
The force is urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
Detective Cheryl O’Donnell said: “Fortunately, no one was injured, but staff were left shaken and very upset as a result of this robbery.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or has information that could assist with our enquiries to trace those responsible.
“We are also asking people to check private CCTV and dash-cam footage to see if they have captured anything that would help with our investigation.
