A search has been launched after a man was bitten twice during an argument that began on a train from Glasgow.
A 29-year-old man was assaulted on board a train from Glasgow Queen Street to Saltcoats station around 11.45pm on April 30.
The victim was involved in an argument with another man which turned violent. One man then bit the other’s upper arm.
The pair alighted at Saltcoats station, where the argument continued, and the victim had his ear bitten, requiring medical treatment and stitches.
The offender is described as white, of average build, and around 6ft tall, with dark hair shorter on the sides.
He was wearing glasses, a white t-shirt, black shorts, and white trainers.
British Transport Police are appealing to other passengers on this busy train who may have witnessed the incident take place to get in touch.
