Police are hunting for two men who fled the scene of a crash in Glasgow on Christmas Day before emergency services arrived.

Officers said a 53-year-old woman was hit by a car on Croftfoot Road around 11pm on Wednesday, December 25 and taken to hospital for treatment.

The car stopped initially but the two occupants, described as Asian males with Scottish accents, left in the vehicle before emergency services arrived.

Officers believe the car was a 2005-2015 Ford S-Max, possibly dark grey in colour.

The wing mirror, which had come off in the crash, was also retrieved before emergency services arrived.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Extensive enquiries remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the car around this time to contact us.​

“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”​

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2579 of December 25, 2024.
