A hunt has been launched for two men after a man was shot at in a shop in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Drumoyne Road in Govan after receiving reports of the incident at around 4pm on October 25.

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is described as “stable”.

Police believe the incident was a targeted attack and are treating the incident as attempted murder.

Detectives are searching for two men seen in the area at the time of the incident.

They are described as wearing dark clothing and face-coverings and left the premises in a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta.

Officers believe the car was driven “erratically” during rush-hour traffic on Friday.

Police said the car was later found burnt-out in a wooded area, which is popular with walkers, near Cochno Road in the Faifley area.

The force is urging anyone with information to come forward as enquiries continue.

Detective sergeant Laura Roberts said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw a dark coloured Ford Fiesta driving from the Drumoyne Road area, onto the A739 to the Clyde Tunnel and out to Cochno Road using the A82 Great Western Road and Glasgow Road between 4pm and 5.30pm on Friday.

“We believe the car described was being driven erratically during rush-hour traffic on a Friday. Think back, did you see a car being driven in this manner? If you have any information which may assist our enquiry, please get in touch.”

Detective sergeant Roberts added: “No matter how small it may seem, the information you hold could be key to our investigation.

“We believe this was a targeted incident and there is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.

“As well as enquiries, including door-to-door and CCTV work, extra patrols are also being carried out.

“Anyone with concerns or information can speak to officers, contact Police Scotland via 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 2466 of Friday, October 25, 2024.”
