A hunt for a masked man has been launched after cash was stolen in an armed robbery at a shop in Dumbarton.
Officers were alerted to the incident in the Glasgow Road area at around 6.55pm on Tuesday.
A man entered the store with a weapon and demanded money before taking off with a sum of cash.
Police are looking to trace the suspect who is described as white and around 5ft7 tall.
He was wearing a black puffer-style jacket, grey joggers, grey trainers, a black beanie hat and a black covering on his face.
No one was injured in the incident but police said a staff member was left “very upset”.
The force is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective sergeant Craig McGarry said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the staff member was left very upset by what happened and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the man.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything is asked to get in touch. We are also asking for dash-cam footage so if you were driving please check to see if there is something that could help with our investigation.
